A Charitable Art Project to Promote Love  /   A select group of artists and designers are invited to contribute artwork incorporating the ubiquitous icon of love: the heart. The subject matter is entirely up to the interpretation of the artists, and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these works of art will go to charities dedicated to the idea of care. As the new owner of one of these works of love, you'll get to choose from the selection of charities compiled by the artists. This collection of artwork will grow as more artists get involved, as will the list of charities. And in turn, with your generosity, so will the donations to them. Promote Love!

Thump

Artist:
Carrie-Ann Plank
CarrieAnnPlank.com

Carrie Ann Plank is an artist working in both the mediums of Printmaking and Painting. She exhibits locally, nationally, and internationally. Plank describes her current body of work as a continuing series based on re-contextualizing information. Plank's work revolves around researching web-based information systems and sourcing images that can be divorce from the original context and reassemble based on her own criteria on shape, form, complexity or other determiners. These sources are widely varied ranging from manuals, treatises, medical texts, records, charts and diagrams of all descriptions. Plank's goal is for this informational detritus to take on a new role based on new juxtapositions and context.
